Rank Tests

Rank tests, known as Kyu Exams (white, green, and brown belt tests) occur every four months, and at the instructor’s discretion. Dan Exams (black belt tests) occur every six months in our New York headquarters and at our summer camps where instructors come from Japan to conduct tests. All black belt ranks are recognized internationally and are registered at the headquarters of the Japan Karate Association in Tokyo.

Family Karate

In our Family Karate program, youth 10-14 may attend a class organized according to their learning patterns. Parents are welcome to join this class and progress together with their child.

Our goals for youth are to instill the principles contained in our Dojo Kun, and through hard work and community produce a better, stronger young person.

Karate for Adults

Many fitness options are available to adults, but the best of them provide community and friendship as well as conditioning. If you pursue a true martial art - not just karate - then you walk a path full of challenges. Karate increases your endurance, speed, power and enhances emotional strength and courage. Needless to say, training will be hard work.
